Hippity Hop Pop
I wouldn’t have Hippity Hop Pop if it weren’t for Pilar. She planted the seed for the album, which became Hippity Hop Pop. “The Lesson” will always be dedicated to Silas, but sung for so many more!
To Brian Schey for helping me chart out the songs stuck in my head and playing on HHP.
To Brian McRae for being a good drummer and percussionist. And, being the inspiration for Mac, the monkey.
Thank you to Phil Johnson (keys); Dusty Rider (banjo); and Thom Bishop (harmonica).
Thank you to The Spot Studios for ensuring the quality of my precious album.
To Jenn K and Stephen J for being part of my Troop! Thank you for being such good friends and supporters of my music.
Tub Soup was inspired by my niece and nephew. I love you so much.
Thank you to my wonderful mom. I love you. Thank you for supporting me always with this dream.
To Simon, my “Hippity Hop”. Part dog. Part inspiration. I love you with all my heart and I will miss you forever.
To Dr. Scott Martin: You’ve were my rock for so many years. First, to help me reduce my vocal strain at work and then you helped me reach new heights for each song I brought you. You helped me find my sound. You spoke my language of visualizing where I needed to place my sound and that helped me tremendously. You were constantly telling me that I was better than I realized and now I have started to believe it. You will be missed, RIP.
To my fans and listeners: I hope you love and listen to these songs over and over. Learn all the lyrics. Come sing and dance with me at my shows. This album is for soothing little ones, but also the ones who want to get wild and crazy dancing. More importantly my message on Hippity Hop Pop is to bring kids together to smile and dance to my songs and that means everybody. I aim for inclusivity on this album, no matter your race, ethnicity, creed, gender, sexual orientation, able-bodied or an individual with a disability. I want YOU to be free to be who you are naturally and authentically. You are loved just as you are.
